On 30th of April 2015 a technology networking event took place at the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, Spain, where more than 25 people (representatives from businesses, Malaga university and the technology park) heard about the importance of becoming international.
The importance of communication was highlighted, which is not just having a good level of business English, but also recognising cultural differences in order to be able to communicate and understand effectively when in discussion or negotiations with people from other countries. The event, which was a special networking breakfast, had a special focus on China, illustrating the visible differences that have taken place over the past 20 years in terms of development and what is still to come.
In the framework of the internationalisation theme, IASP Director General Luis Sanz presented the Grow International project, which is currently in its pilot phase, and explained the various modules that this interesting online course offers. It raised a lot of interest from the participants at the breakfast, especially given the ever increasing relevance of this topic, and the need to be able to be comfortable in communicating with others on an international level, as well as being able to expand and develop ideas and projects across borders.
